The ELLIPSE project has officially reached the halfway mark of its four-year journey, a milestone celebrated at the headquarters of ZER0-EMISSIONS ENGINEERING in The Hague – . On Tuesday, 27 May 2025, representatives from every partner institution convened to showcase the project’s achievements to date, assess ongoing challenges, and coordinate next steps.
Lively, cross-disciplinary discussion lay at the heart of the meeting. Detailed presentations from each work package highlighted advances in waste-stream characterisation, fermentation scale-up, and preliminary life-cycle assessments—collectively demonstrating that ELLIPSE is firmly on track to deliver sustainable, bio-based solutions for personal-care and agricultural applications. By openly sharing data and expertise, consortium members reaffirmed their commitment to meeting the project’s ambitious key performance indicators.
Cross-disciplinary collaboration is the engine of ELLIPSE; it is what enables us to turn bold sustainability targets into concrete results.
Participants agreed that the insights exchanged in The Hague will fuel the next phase of research, pilot trials, and market-uptake activities.
The consortium extends its sincere thanks to ZER0-EMISSIONS ENGINEERING for hosting an impeccably organised event and to all partners for their continued dedication and effort. United by a shared vision of a circular bio-economy, the ELLIPSE team moves into the second half of the project with renewed momentum and clarity of purpose.
