The ELLIPSE project held its Month 30 General Assembly in Verona, Italy, on 10-11 December 2025, hosted by the University of Verona at the Chamber of Commerce. On 10 December, partners visited Novamont’s plant in Bottrighe, the world’s first producing bio-based 1,4-butanediol from sugars—a model of territorial regeneration since 2012. On the same day, representatives reviewed achievements like nutrient recovery from digestate into bio-fertilizers, assessed challenges, and planned final actions for sustainable solutions in personal care and agriculture.
The consortium emphasized cross-disciplinary collaboration to meet ambitious targets, with insights fueling upcoming pilots and market uptake. Thanks go to the University of Verona for hosting and all partners for their dedication.
