On 17-18 June 2026, the ELLIPSE project was presented during the LUCRA Project Final Event held in Milan, providing an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and strengthen connections across European initiatives working towards a more sustainable and circular economy.

As part of the event programme, participants visited Novamont in Novara, one of LUCRA’s Advisory Board members and a leading company in the development of biodegradable and compostable bioplastics. The visit brought together representatives from several EU-funded projects to discuss innovative approaches to industrial sustainability, bio-based materials, and circularity.

A key moment of the event was the presentation of ELLIPSE , which introduced its vision, objectives, and ongoing activities. The event also featured presentations from other European projects, including SYMBA and TERRIFIC, creating a valuable platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and the identification of potential synergies among initiatives addressing common sustainability challenges.

Beyond the project presentations, participants explored Novamont’s facilities, educational exhibition areas, and testing laboratories, gaining first-hand insights into bio-based materials, compostable plastics, and the technologies supporting the transition towards more sustainable industrial systems.

ELLIPSE is pleased to have contributed to this exchange of expertise and would like to thank the LUCRA consortium and Novamont for the opportunity to present the project and engage with a diverse community of stakeholders committed to advancing Europe’s circular economy transition.
