DESCRIPTION:The ELLIPSE project will participate in the 19th IWA World Conference on Anaerobic Digestion\, taking place in Valencia\, Spain\, from 9 to 13 June 2026. \nRecognised as one of the leading international conferences dedicated to anaerobic technologies\, IWA AD19 will bring together academics\, researchers\, engineers\, practitioners\, policymakers\, and representatives from the public and private sectors to exchange knowledge\, present recent advancements\, and discuss the future of anaerobic digestion. \nUnder the theme “Fueling Sustainability”\, the conference will highlight the key role of anaerobic technologies in transforming waste streams into valuable resources and supporting the transition towards more sustainable and circular systems. \nELLIPSE will be presented by colleagues from the University of Verona on Thursday\, 11 June\, during the panel “Adding value to liquid streams and digestate”\, scheduled from 16:40 to 17:20. \nThe participation in IWA AD19 represents an important opportunity to share ELLIPSE’s contribution to resource recovery\, circular bio-based solutions\, and the valorisation of organic streams within an international scientific and technical community.

DESCRIPTION:The ELLIPSE Project will take part in the upcoming edition of the Thursday Talks on Biomaterials\, a free online webinar organised by the RE-Source Lab of Ghent University and Biorefine Cluster Europe. \nThe event will take place on 25 June 2026\, from 15:00 to 17:00 CET\, and will focus on the role of biomaterials in supporting the transition towards a more sustainable bioeconomy. \nDuring the webinar\, Pablo Ferrero from AIMPLAS will present the work carried out within ELLIPSE on the sustainable production of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) for innovative packaging solutions\, highlighting how bio-based materials can contribute to more circular and environmentally friendly value chains. \nThe programme will also feature contributions from the ReJuice project\, focusing on agrifood sidestreams in the PHA value chain\, the Surfs-Up project\, dedicated to safe and sustainable by design biosurfactants\, and Ghent University\, presenting research on bio-based monomers from lignocellulosic biomass for sustainable polymer production. \nThis webinar represents an opportunity to exchange knowledge and explore how biomaterials\, biorefineries and circular approaches can contribute to the development of sustainable industrial solutions. \nThe full programme is available here. \nRegister HERE!
